Two worlds existed on a very close parallel. One heavily scarred by the decay in which the unreal physics of a comic book world made everyone have a superpower, the other painfully real without the glitz and wonder of a world full of super beings. Then the Nova happened.
The entity known as Chaos was reveling in keeping these two worlds so tightly in line with one another. Events from one world would impact the other in the most subtle of ways. But while Chaos was distracted in this little game of world toys, Entropy plotted to end it. But the Nova that should have destroyed this sliver of the entity and the worlds he played with resulted in a backlash that left the “plain” world tainted by Superpowers and the parallel souls imprinted on very real very normal people.
